Our activities all help to build young people's self-confidence, fuelling their motivation to succeed in life. We develop the soft skills and competencies they need to succeed now, and in later life. Our activities enable young people to gain a holistic understanding of themselves, and others, as they start to make important decisions about their future.
NEW GENERATION CAREERS
We explore the world of work and showcase the new roles and career paths beginning to emerge. Oue session aims to spark children's curiosity and introduce them to the multitude of opportunities being created across all sectors. We also explore the skills and competencies employers seek.
CREATING A PERSONAL VISION
Enabling children, through a creative exercise, to explore what is important to them, what they might like to achieve when they are older, what abilities they have now and what additional actions they may need to take to realise their dreams.
CREATING GOOD MONEY HABITS
With a better understanding of money, children can begin to form healthy relationships with money (which will last them a lifetime). We explore the role money plays in everyone's lives, the cost of running a home and ways to earn, grow, budget and save money.
KEY THINKING SKILLS
Critical thinking is an important skill. We help children to understand how to gather factual information, evaluate information, make independent judgements and consider alternative solutions, promoting not only open-mindedness but also a geniune ability to make the right choices.
Everything children need to know and appreciate to gain more confidence in social situations, including ways to create a good first impression, ways to engage with others face-to-face (mastering the art of conversation and asking questions) and adopting the right behaviour for positive outcomes.
TEAM & INDIVIDUAL CHALLENGES
Learning the importance of self-discipline, working with others collaboratively, leadership basics and the importance of listening to others, when to negotiate, when to stand firm and when to compromise though varied challenges we set.
EDUCATIONAL & CULTURAL TRIPS
We arrange many visits to local places of interest such as historical sites, museums and discovery centres. We aim to open children's minds and spark their curiosity not only about the present but also the past and the future.
Learning how to be independent and how to look after yourself and others is perhaps the most valuable skill set. From cooking a balanced meal to protecting our wellbeing and staying safe, we explore the basics for living a good life.
